I feel ya' on that one over here, Squat. Record high of 72 Wednesday afternoon, 36 hours later snowing like crazy and 17.8 muhgrees here in Johnsonville at 7:20 this morning, two inches of snow/ice on the ground and my fountain out back? Frozen solid! Glad I bought those birdbath de-icers several years ago ..... but my birds? ... are REEALLY glad!

I went out back and dug out the ice and snow from my feeders, and now I've got a house finch infestation. There must be (no shit) three hundred of them on the feeders and on the ground.

Something tells me that kind of activity is going to attract my neighborhood Coopers Hawk, so I'm gearing up and putting the camera on a tripod in the window.

Film at eleven.

13 fukin degrees frigid in south west IU land this morning! I had to scrape some serious ice off or the wimdshield on my KIA and that SUV has one hell of a great heater/defroster.
To th city's credit - the main streets had been salted and sprayed with that anti ice shit.
Mom had to do to the hair dresser - so I warmed the truck up and dropped her off at the door and picked her up and brought her back home.

Burrr...

At least Mom's huge Scottish terrier does his business quickly.
After her fall - I get up earlier to see to the dog. He is old and feeble - and likely his meat is too
touch for even Korean dogkogi.
We will send him to the pound and get her another dog.
